17 Heads of MDAs get Gov. Idris’ approval as substantive

A Permanent Secretary, 10 General Managers, seven Executive Secretaries, and an Executive Director, serving in acting capacity have been confirmed to substantive positions by His Excellency, the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu.

A circular from the office of Kebbi State Head of Civil Service, signed and issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi by Rashid Muhammad-Bala, said the affected persons were all confirmed to their substantive positions.

Change of Name

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris quoted the affected personalities to include; A’ishatu Abbas as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Zaiyanu Shehu as General Manager, Water Board, AtikInu Malami, General Manager, Rural Electrification Board (REB), Engr. Muhammad Nadim Abdullahi, General Manager, Kebbi State Housing Corporation, Adamu Shehu and General Manager, Rural Water and Sanitation Agency RUWATSA).

Others are; Basiru Saidu Bakuwai, General Manager, Kebbi Geographical Information System (KEBGIS), Amina Umar, General Manager, Kebbi Urban Development Authority, (KUDA), Aliyu Umar Dikko, General Manager, Kebbi State Environmental Protection Agency (KESEPA), Aminu Sani Kamba, General Manager, Kebbi State Television Service, Hussaini Shamaki, General Manager, Kebbi Agricultural Supply Company (KASCOM) and Muhammad Dahiru, Birnin Kebbi Central Market.

Muhammad-Bala added that the Executive Secretaries include; Abdullahi Bello Kalgo, Secondary School Management Board (SSMB), Hassan Haruna, Arabic and Islamic Education Board, Abubakar Muhammad, Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Pharmacist Aminu Hassan, Kebbi State Drugs and Consumable Agency, Garba Muhammad Kangiwa, Social Welfare and Uwais Sa’ad, Local Government Joint Account.

In a similar vein, Muhammad-Bala said Abubakar Abdullahi has been confirmed as the Executive Director of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).

He observed that the action aligns with the pledge by His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris to end the practice of prolonged acting appointment in the state civil service and ensuring compliance with established laws.

Meanwhile, the governor also approved the implementation of a new salary scale for the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero as well as the State Polytechnic, Dakingari.

The action is in line with the Federal Government’s circular No. SWC/04/195/ and 198, dated Sept. 23, 2024.
